The tradition of giving thanks or gratitude's at this season is long held. It has many iterations. From friends and family gathered around tables, verbalizing their most cherished gratitude's. To the more recent tradition of listing a daily gratitude or thanks on each of the days leading up Thanksgiving Day. For me I have indulged in both in one way or another.
Today, I am envisioning each of you at a table with me, as I look back over this past year. I have added new friends to my circle. Many of them from the journal classes I teach. Those connections have brought new delights and wisdom to my life. I also have a beautiful set of longer held friends and family, who support and enrich my life and endeavors in ways I cannot describe.
This blog had a different intent during its creation. Over time it has become a journal of my thoughts and experiences. Many of you have followed along and I am honored you do. I love the quiet circle of connection this blog has created. Thank you for being a part of my life experience.
I sincerely Give Thanks for you.
Happy Thanksgiving. May you, and those you share it with, have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend.

Well, thank you, John for this great photo. That is adorable. She is very serious about her pumpkin duty. I wish you a fantastic December.
Happy Thanksgiving, Carrie! Thanks for all you do to enlighten and entertain those of us interested in the writings and life of John Fitzgerald.
The "Autumn Sunset" shot rivals some of the best -- framing, muted color, scope and sense of motion. Thanks for the inspiration. Meanwhile granddaughter Brooke ( age 5 in 2007) is calling to be sure you have enough pumpkins for all those pies. Blessings to all!
